Bra Styles

Bras may be created to serve a noble purpose in the lives of women. However, it does not mean that a bra isn’t supposed to be anything more than a piece of cloth that covers the breasts.

Vanity is a normal element of a woman’s existence. That is why most bras are created to satisfy not only health needs but aesthetics as well. The market has a huge collection of bra styles that will leave a shopper dazed. If you think that you only need to know your measurements when you go out to shop for bras, think again. Designers are thinking about much about beauty as comfort. So, before you head out to the mall, make sure that you bring with you a bit of that creative flair.

There is a wide range of bra styles to choose from, some of which are: air bras, backless bras, balconette bras, bustiers, corsets, full cup bras, half cup bras, liquid bras, multiway bras, seamless bras, triangle bras, zip cup bras, and a lot more. To give you an understanding of the different bra styles, here are their descriptions:

An air bra is the bra style that features small bags containing air in each of the cups. Some of the air bras in the market have air bags that are removable. This style is specifically designed to emphasize the cleavage and provide a more appealing look.

The backless bra style obviously does not have the usual straps. It is often self-adhesive, but still able to offer breast support. This is the perfect undergarment for backless dresses and tops. The backless bras mostly come in skin tone, flesh, or neutral hues, so they won’t be very visible when worn under see-through clothes.

The balconette style bra is designed like the half cup but covers lesser of the breasts, making it a sexier bra style option. The center part of the bra is unlike that of the half cup as it is made to enhance the shape of the breasts. This is appropriate for all types of clothing.

Bustiers are bra styles that cover a large area below the breasts. These may either have straps or none, and are known to remain stylish over the years. There is a wide variety of bustiers available and almost all of these are manufactured using durable materials.

Liquid bra is the bra style that features liquid gel inside a small pouch in each of the bra cup. The liquid gel is added to make the cleavage appear deeper. Liquid bras do not create lumps so your breasts won’t look oddly-shaped.

The multiway way bra can be fashioned into several bra styles. This can be worn as halter neck, as both low back and halter neck, and the usual shoulder straps. The straps can even be removed so that the bra can be used underneath bare-shouldered clothes.

Seamless bra is a popular bra style. This does not have seams which make it perfect for use with tight-fitting clothes. The seamless bra may come with or without underwires. But nevertheless, it is still capable of providing great breast support.

Corset was considered as the early version of the modern bra. But nowadays, corset is more than just an undergarment. With the various designs, it has now become an trendy outerwear. Some feature accessories like feathers, lace, and faux fur for that elegant look.

There are some women who take bra for granted. Since this undergarment is not visible to the eyes most of the time, they think that they can get away with wearing sloppy-looking pairs. But feeling beautiful inside out means more than just taking care of what’s evident. So invest in a good bra style and look good all over.
