Leather bras may not be the most common choice of women who are shopping around for bras. But they too have to admit that it is very tempting to own at least one pair of leather bra.
Leather is among the most sensual bra fabrics. Because majority of women nowadays have more than just comfort and support in mind, a lot of bra styles have evolved to satisfy everyone’s aesthetic requirements.
The market is home to a huge selection of leather bras. A woman can choose from among the plain, chain-accessorized, and studded leather bras available. Some designs do not seem appropriate as undergarments, but leather bras are generally very comfortable to wear and are capable of giving your breasts the required support.
A lady’s leather bra is not only exciting to wear, but it is highly durable as well. With proper care, it can even last throughout her lifetime. Since leather bras enhance a woman’s body and increase her sexual appeal, she probably considers these as important pieces of clothing.
To ensure that your leather bra lasts long after you are willing to flaunt it, then never store it inside a container that does not allow it to breathe. The leather will tend to get very dry inside non-breathable storage.
In case your leather bra gets wet or becomes damp, dry it out naturally and never use a direct source of heat. There may be instances when your leather bra will become stiff or dry. This does not mean that you have to throw it out. Try treating your leather bra and restoring its flexibility by using a leather conditioner.
All leathers require professional leather maintenance and cleaning – leather bras included. Your dry cleaner will probably be able to recommend a reliable leather cleaner to you. This does not mean though that you have to go to a professional leather cleaner each time you use your leather bra. You can do some regular cleaning yourself.
If you own a leather bra set, make sure that you clean the whole set simultaneously. Sometimes, the cleaning process may cause slight changes in the leather’s texture and color. Although these are normal, you don’t really want your leather bra to appear in various shades. Likewise, if you have a matching leather bra and leather panty, make sure they are cleaned at the same time. Otherwise, you’ll have to contend with wearing a leather bra that is a shade darker than the leather panty.
Self-cleaning leather bras are actually doable. There are a lot of home care products that are great with leathers. What works for your leather couch will most likely work for your leather bras too. Taking care of them is basically the same way you would care for your regular bras. But since leather is a bit “sensitive” fabric, there are a few things that need to be done when cleaning it.
Some women who have tried or are fond of the leather bras may have observed that these have the tendency to shrink slightly. While this may be alarming to some, it shouldn’t really be a cause for worry. Leather bras shrink if they haven’t been used for quite sometime. But normally, they re-stretch with wear. So flaunt those leather bras and give the Catwoman a run for her money.
